The Hostal del Castell de Gimenelles is a small country hotel with a restaurant situated in an old stone farmhouse (Mas) built at the beginning of the 18th century: the Castle of Gimenelles farmhouse. It is an isolated farmhouse, surrounded by vines, in the municipal area of Sant Jaume dels Domenys, in the winegrowing region of the Penedès, south of Barcelona and north of Tarragona, between the sea and the mountains. At the moment, our hotel has 8 double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and central heating. There are three dining rooms: two situated in the old house kitchens and the other, in the old Pressing Room, where the grapes were pressed and fermented to make wine. The restaurant is a service offered to our hotel guests as well as being open to the general public, with previous bookings. There are 2 large living rooms, interconnected in an L form, situated in the old cellar of the house, on the ground floor. There are two large gardens: The Baluard garden is at the entrance to the house; it is surrounded by walls that protect the main entrance to the house. The Pati Xic is the side garden of the house, rather like a courtyard, and it is also surrounded by large stone walls. There is a porch and a pond with water plants and fauna. |

The rural accommodation Cal Gener, with a facade adorned with spectacular sgraffiti, presides over a corner of the small nucleus of them fish, integrated in the agricultural landscape of the Baix Penedès. Its architectural wealth and decorative converts it into a real museum. The construction, stately air, is a singular example of house of work, with items dating from the XVI century and annexd that were devoted to stables, chapel, mill and to the production of wine. The drawings of the facade, on the basis of floral motifs and characters dressed in period clothing, dating back to 1690 and have led to the protection of the building as a historic-artistic monument. The accommodation area is divided between double and single rooms, with a total capacity for eight people, which may use the common rooms of the building. You can also enjoy a guided tour of the interesting collections of the establishment.
