The Flamingo Hotel is central to the tourist area and just one street away from the beach. L`Ampolla is situated at the mouth of the river Ebro, and during summer is a lively town with lots of cultural activities and varied sandy beaches, cliffs and small bays. Being a typical fishing town, L`Ampolla has a great range of seafood including oysters, blue mussel, clams and king-prawns all cooked using traditional Mediterranean seasoning. Hotel Flamingo is the first ecologically sound, environmentally friendly, sustainable hotel in Spain. The accommodation, at the Flamingo, which was built in 2005, comprises 55 double and six single rooms, plus five suites, on five floors. The facilities, at the hotel, include lifts, two air conditioned a la carte restaurants, a bar/cafeteria, laundry service, television room, games room, conference rooms and internet access. There is a swimming pool, sun terrace, garden and a gym with an indoor pool. A programme of daytime and evening entertainment is provided, including a mini club for the younger children.
